On April 10, 2010 Real Madrid and Barcelona faced of to meet in “El Clasico”, one of the most anticipatied games of the Spanish league. The match was to be disputed in the mythical stadium Santiago Bernabeu home of Los Merengues.

Cristiano Ronaldo was going to play against the best player of the Lionel Messi. However, early comments made by Cristiano Ronaldo where about his team and Messi’s team playing as a whole rather than Cristiano vs Messi.

It was the at minute 33 when the “Pulga” or the flea opened the score by taking advantage of a superb pass by Xavi, which he then controlled with his chest inside the area and beat the goalkeeper Iker Casillas. However, the Merengues were close to a tie with a header from Xabi Alonso that went over the crossbar. Cristiano had the attitude, but he did not have the chances with a Barcelona defense that was organized.

The match ended 2-0 in favor of Barcelona that is now ahead of Real Madrid by 3 points

Madrid regained the lead league with a display of strength and goals in 45 minutes, with Cristiano Ronaldo and Gonzalo Higuain enjoying the defensive weakness of an unknown Getafe.

Real Madrid was the leader from the start. Playing it short and without pressure from the rival. Madrid had a lot of mobility with two forwards who form a lethal pair: Cristiano and Higuain.

Only three minutes after with Real Madrid playing at will, Gago invented a deep pass to cause a defensive chaos that allowed Higuain exploit his speed and good definition. He Dribble to his left before Ustari could touch him and shot into the unguarded goal.

At minute 36 Cristiano Ronaldo confused a defender by doing a bicycle and concluding the play with a furious cannon that ended inside the goal. Getafe’s goalkeeper had a chance to stop it as he came in contact with Cristiano’s cannon, but decided not to since he did not want to get hurt. Cristiano Ronaldo made the 4-0 and sentenced the match.

Getafe made efforts to come back by scoring 2 goals, but that was not sufficient to stop Madrid. The match ended 4-2 with Madrid as the clear victor.

With a goal from Cristiano Ronaldo Real Madrid wins 6-2 over Villarreal in the mythical stadium Santiago Bernabeu. Real Madrid and Villarreal both demonstrated an ambitious match. However, Los Merengues had the offensive power that gave them the win in week 23 of the Spanish League. With todays victory Madrid is 2 points away from leader Barcelona.

Cristiano Ronaldo opened the match at minute 18 after a superb free Kick. Kaka then made the score 2-0 after brilliantly taking a penalty shot that trick Villarreal’s goalkeeper. Villarreal responded with a free kick at minute 30 that was well taken by Marcos Sena that ended in a goal.

Nonetheless, Madrid had the upper hand with an excellent performance that gave them the 6-2 over Villarreal. The match ended with a penalty kick created by crazy skills of superstar Cristiano Ronaldo that was then taken by midfielder Xabi Alonso.
