Real Madrid lived an epic night at the Santiago Bernabeu. Manuel Pellegrini’s team rallied from two goals against caste-based and turned the light. Xabi Alonso’s auto goal and Dragutinovic gave the lead to Sevilla for the 2-0, while Cristiano Ronaldo and Ramos tied the game. Then Van der Vaart unleashed the madness in the Bernabeu with the third goal for the Whites for the 3-2.
There were 22 minutes of the game that was overflowing with magic, intensity, winning spirit, sevillas goalkeeper Palop performing miracles again and again …
The 3-2 win against Sevilla not only served Real Madrid to reunited with the epic after a long time (Madrid has not come back from two goals since the 2006-2007 season in a match against Espanyol), it also meant a ‘yes we can’ from Madrid fans.
Even though Real Madrid was down 2-0 Cristiano Ronaldo never showed signs of giving up. He displayed acts of danger again and again by releasing powerful shots into Sevillas goal. Finally, Marcelo gave a pass inside the area that was deflected by a Sevilla defender into the feet of Cristiano Ronaldo that took advantage of the situation for the first goal of Madrid.
